This year, I registered for a resident Elk tag for the first time since we’ve moved here and I landed a tag in area 93.  A great area and Cindy knows this area well when she gave horseback rides with outfitters a few years back.  I haven’t seen any Elk though.  Its just still too hot!  We had 6 inches of snow the first week of October, but it has all melted away, and stayed away.  Temps are ranging from 25 to 55 each day.  (still too warm)  Needless to say, the Elk don’t know when to move, and basically, they’ve found their way to the “safe” feedgrounds where they are just hanging out knowing they are protected.  I’m a sucker.
