This weekend, Cindy and I celebrated our anniversary a couple weeks early with a marriage retreat in Glacier Nat’l Park! For those of you who dont know about Glacier, it’s in the Northwest corner of Montana and spills into Canada. It also happens to be SPECTACULAR! I highly suggest visiting at some point in your life... and this comes from a couple that lives within minutes to Yellostone nat’l park. Cindy and I had a great weekend alone as Cindy’s mother, Wanda flew out and spent some time with Wyatt & CoraLeigh here at the house.
Part of the trip was meeting with a Christian couple that do marriage counseling. Very fun and revealing to both of us as to better ways to communicate with each other. Cindy and I both re-took a Meyers-Brigg assessment and discovered that we are complete opposites in personalities. Complete. Cindy happens to be: Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Judging. Where I am Extroverted, Sensing, Thinking, and Perceiving. (if any of you have done the M-B assessment before) This certainly helps us to be aware how each other likes to receive information, give information, get energized, and process things. I look at these as moving glaciers as well, because it will be slow to process, and eventually the mass (imperfections) will shrink. very cool. God is good to us.
